WHY

Equanimity is a state where one’s inner peace remains undisturbed by the constant fluctuations of life.  Come to know why Yoga claims it is, in fact, your natural state.

WHAT

Yoga Nidra is an ancient science of complete relaxation that systematically awakens one’s greatest potential and reveals an ever-present, unwavering state of inner peace.  Through the deepest levels of physical, mental, and emotional rest, this transformative practice facilitates the release of the source of tensions, unsupportive patterns and behaviors, acquired conditioning, and self-limiting beliefs.  In the Yoga Nidra state, one also has the capacity to imprint new ideas on the mind, securing intentions at the deepest level, to create a resonance that generates a stream of new thought patterns and actions.

BENEFITS

The science of Yoga Nidra is used to heal and treat a variety of disorders including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Insomnia

  • Psychosomatic disorders

  • Chronic disease

  • Hypertension

  • Asthma

  • Chronic pain

  • PTSD/trauma

  • Addiction

ABOUT

This will be a comprehensive, 24-hour teacher training designed, specifically, to educate one with the skills, background, and understanding of the vast scope of yoga nidra in order to begin to explore guiding the practice in group settings.  This training is open to anyone, and highly encouraged for yoga teachers as a method for extending the reach of yoga into the psychological dimensions to promote greater peace, joy, and well-being in students.  No prerequisite or prior certification is necessary, but experience with, and a current, regular self-practice in yoga nidra is highly recommended.  One can only fully and effectively guide this practice if speaking from the depth and knowledge of personal experience.

*Each full day will consist of lecture/discussion, moderate asana practices and yoga nidra so dress in comfortable, loose, clothing.

RECOMMENDED

If you plan to attend this training, begin now with a practice of yoga nidra 2-3 times a week.  If you’re inspired to journal your experiences and reflections, this will only create a stronger foundation for understanding and transmitting the practice to others.  (Journaling is not meant for psychoanalysis of the content of your experiences, but merely to build a foundation for understanding the techniques, awareness of subtler, internal states, and for acquiring insight into how the practice may be experienced by others).
